The exhibition series Setkávání at the Institute of Geophysics of the CAS in Spořilov was launched by Jiří Hůla in 2002 with the exhibition of Marie Blabolilová. In total, he has prepared 62 mostly original exhibitions here, was behind the birth of the IoG Art Collection, and in 2010, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Setkávání exhibition, he prepared a group exhibition at the National Technical Library and compiled a comprehensive catalogue for it. Jiří Hůla did nothing little and nothing for nothing.

The same is the case with his original artistic work. Jiří Hůla created hundreds of works of art; there is a certain sequence, a certain intermingling. A strong element that appears in almost every one of his artistic units or techniques is writing/signs, which he started with when writing concrete poetry or drawing poetic humour.

The exhibition at the IoG presents the works of Jiří Hůla (jih), which, although created by typing, are already purely artistic. The originals of a series of large typescripts, the unimaginably laborious ones on which the H building kit was based, the screen prints from typescripts of always several variations and variants, all these are beautiful works where letters and characters are the basic building elements and function in their strongest form.
